Goo Goo for Gaga

July 24, 2010

Lady Gaga amazes me.  I had the privilege of attending her show in my hometown and i have to say, it far exceeded my expectations.  I knew from a theatrical standpoint, it would be amazing.  And it was.

The concept of her show is the Monster Ball, where anyone can come and be whoever they want to be, waving their freak flag high.  “All the people outside are the real freaks,” Gaga exclaimed between songs.

There were some surprisingly touching moments during her show as she bared not just skin in her ever fashion-ambitious costumes, but insecurities stemming from awkward high school days.  Gaga is so accessible, so real, so normal, really.  And incredibly talented.  Not only did she not lip-synch, but she writes her own lyrics, her own music, even improvising a jazzy, blues beat with her boot heel.

How could you not fall in love with her?  I am completely goo goo for Gaga!

I saw a picture of you with the “Kiss” guy. I hope there will be a male version of lady gaga in our lifetime.
